REMOTE ACCESS TO SOFTWARE

 

The SSP Core Facility remote server allows users to remotely access the following software:

• AmeliaView
• Atlas.ti 5.5
• HLM 6.06
• Math Type 5.2c
• MaxQDA 2007
• Mplus 5.1 Combo
• QSR Nvivo 8
• R 2.7.2
• Stat Transfer 8.0
• Stata 10 SE
• Adobe Reader 9.0
• Hamachi
• Microsoft Office 2007
• PDF Creator 0.95
• WinSCP 4.1.6
• Putty 0.60
• VLC Media Player 0.86i


SSP Software Server Connection Instructions

1) Email dworthy@unl.edu for a username & password

2) Open the remote desktop program.

  • Windows XP, click START, RUN, and type mstsc and press ENTER
  • Vista, click the round logo in the bottom left screen, type mstsc in the search box
  • Mac, download the remote desktop program from

    • - http://ssp.unl.edu/RemoteDesktop/MacOSX/

3) Make sure you’re connected to the internet.

4) In the remote desktop program, type bosr-v4.unl.edu

5) When the login box appears, type your username and password that you received in step (1)

6) You should now be connected. Be sure to read readme!.docx on the desktop for information on how to transfer files to the server, and other information about the server.

7) Statistical software is under STATISTICAL SOFTWARE on the desktop.
